Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and grooming, with the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with pet owners to ensure their pets receive the best care possible. A love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming options.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any observations related to the pet's health or behavior.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming
- Strong skills in animal handling, including dog training and restraint techniques
- Experience with various breeds of dogs and knowledge of their specific grooming needs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment
- A passion for animal care and commitment to providing high-quality service is essential
Driver License required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $200.00 - $300.00 per day
Expected hours: 24 per week
